Feliz Año Nuevo

2010. That number still seems so...unreal. I remember thinking we'd have hover crafts for cars & robot maids (yes, like the jetsons) by now. Its funny how some parts of the world can change so, so much while other things stay pretty much the same. Although...I am pretty pumped about my new steam-mop!
This was the 4th gathering of our New Year's Eve crew. When graduating from IU scattered our friends across the globe back in 2006 - We had a big gathering for New Year's Eve in Chicago with Sarah, Tom, & a whole group of friends. It was such a good time of reconnecting that we have continued to meet up ever since. The location & some of the people change from year to year...but it is always a refreshing way to begin a new year.
So - we spent 3 days in beautiful Brown County, Indiana in a cabin. We had a foosball table, a hot tub, a fire place, lots of food, wine & high life. We had some of the best mafia games ever played, Pizza Express breadsticks, and loads of laughs.

And now its time to start 2010. As you probably guessed...I'm listing my resolutions.

1. Be more disciplined in my faith. Pray more. Study more. In general, I want to allow Jesus to be a bigger part of my everyday.
2. Cook! I want to try new recipies this year. Put my cookbooks to use & add some variety to our meals.
3. Complete P90X with Matthew (we started it yesterday & my arms feel like they might fall off already!).
4. Reorganize my closets & kitchen cabinets.
5. Simplify everything from my schedule to our home decor.

Peace & Love
Jess

Tell me what you think of your steam mop. I keep eyeing those when I see the infomercials. Also, ditto on the simplifying.. and on reorganizing closets. :)

I like the steam mop! You have to take a little more time swiping over the floor but its so much less prep time & mess than a regular mop & bucket. I'll prob still mop with cleaner from time to time. But I'd say its worth having b/c it does a good job + its easy to pull out real quick.

And I can already check the closets off my list due to our 2 snow days last week :) hooray!
