A little more spirit

Tonight Matthew & I made buckeye candies & wrapped nearly all of the gifts! I feel a bit less...INSANE....about the upcoming holiday now. God cut me some breaks Thursday and Friday of this week - breaks that were much needed & fully appreciated. I feel blessed.
I was able to go to the Nutcracker Ballet at Louisville Center for the Arts fo frizzle (for free) b/c my buddy Katie got tickets by some lucky chain of events & invited 3 friends for a ladies night. It was good to hang out & such a nice Christmastime thing to go to. The ballet was followed Thursday night by some quality time with a very long-time friend/mentor/honorary big sister of sorts...one of my twin friends, Stacy, & her 2 beautiful boys. We had Tumbleweed & went to her house for white wine. The boys spent like 2hrs trying to guess at what the wrapped gifts under the tree were. Haha.
This weekend I do have to work 1 day...but most of my time will be spent visiting with uncle Bob and cousin Robert. They are here all the way from Colorado Springs :) and I absolutely love it when they are here. 1) the family gets together & we see people we rarely see 2) the Colorado peeps are really great to talk with & fun to be around.

On top of the other remedies to my sour mood...my company has gotten an office!!! This is a BIG DEAL people. Huge. We have been working toward this goal since before last summer. Pretty much its been in our hopes since I was 1st training at Meaningful Day Services. We will soon have a facility located in New Albany, IN to run our ABA Therapy program & other exciting things to come as we grow :) Its such a great feeling to see things looking up at work!

Ok...so before I was complaining too much...and now I am gushing. I'm tired...the afternoon I was supposed to spend shopping with my mum turned out to be a 2hr mini marathon thru the mall followed by the scariest hour I've spent on the highway in a long time! My mom likes to multitask while driving...we'll put it that way. But I'm alive, like they say in the Kenny Chesney/Dave Matthews song.

Happy Christmas, friends!
